Modern Slavery Statement
Modern slavery is an international crime with dedicated standalone legislation prohibiting the practice in the United Kingdom. In the Republic of Ireland EVHACS HQ is bound by legislation against Human Trafficking and we abhor any form of slavery, human trafficking, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.
That is why, as a business, we will always endeavor to ask our suppliers for its Modern Slavery Statement, and, we will offer ours for the inspection of our suppliers. Together, by reaching out through our combined global networks we can help eliminate modern slavery in all its forms.
EVHACS believes in openness and accountability. We demand a fair wage for everyone in our supply chain. That is why, while always looking to provide the best prices to our customers, we will always seek to ensure that everyone in our supply chain is provided with a fair and sustainable wage and that our suppliers adhere to, and commit to, that view.
Modern Slavery transcends age and gender and ethnicity and we acknowledge that research currently indicates that most of those affected by this cruel practise are women and children. We commit to ensure that persons in our supply chain are not brought from overseas and placed in conditions of criminal or employment exploitation. We acknowledge that while trafficking often involves exploitation with an international cross-border element it is possible to be a victim of slavery within ones’ own country.
This modern Slavery Statement has the full endorsement for the Board of our Company and we commit to ensuring that its impact continues to be applied in our supply chain.
